Student Reflection
When I started this class I was excited for the fact that we don't get an actual grade, and in theory it would've worked well, but I think that the execution could've been done better. For instance I don't think that a person who tries really hard to make an amazing robot that surpasses all of the requirements and then goes above and beyond should get evaluated the same way as someone who make a robot that just barely meets the requirements. Now for me I make good robots because I want to see how far I can take the challenge and that's just what I do because it feels right. Its hard to get this right the first time though, because really this is the first time anyone has really even tried this style of evaluation and I think that there is going to be a lot trial and error to really get this right. So in conclusion I think this is a good idea and sort of worked in this class alone, but it lacked the "carrot on a stick" motivation that regular grading gives you and I don't like the fact that the bare minimum should be equal to above and beyond, but it was a good start and it need some refining.
